BRANDON RAHMER HOLDS OFF BROTHER, FREDDIE RAHMER, FOR DEAN’S AUTO PLAZA NIGHT VICTORY; Reutimann Scores Impressive First Lincoln Speedway Victory

ABBOTTSTOWN, PA – Brandon Rahmer used a strong second-half charge to capture Saturday night's 30-lap feature event at Lincoln Speedway, overcoming early leader Jordan Strickler before holding off his brother, Freddie Rahmer, in the closing laps.

Jordan Strickler and Brie Hershey led the field to the green flag, with Strickler taking command while Hershey settled into second. Brandon Rahmer quickly moved into third, followed by Jude Siegel and Dave Grube.

As the field settled into a rhythm, Siegel found himself under pressure from Jordan Givler while Freddie Rahmer joined the battle, eventually taking over fifth position. Up front, Brandon Rahmer steadily reeled in Hershey before making the pass for second and setting his sights on Strickler.

With Strickler navigating lapped traffic by lap 14, the battle behind him intensified. Grube worked his way around Hershey for third, but before the race could fully develop, caution flew on lap 16 when Grube spun in turn four while running in third.

The restart lineup featured Strickler, Brandon Rahmer, Hershey, Freddie Rahmer, and Siegel in the top five.

Brandon Rahmer wasted little time making his move, driving around the outside of Strickler on the restart to take over the lead. Behind them, an exciting three-wide battle for third unfolded between Freddie Rahmer, Siegel, and Hershey, with Freddie emerging with the position. Matt Campbell also worked his way into the top five during the closing laps.

Rahmer appeared to have the race in hand as he built a 1.7-second advantage with seven laps remaining before lapped traffic tightened the front of the field. Contact between Rahmer and a slower car on the frontstretch allowed Strickler to close to within a quarter-second with five laps to go, bringing both Freddie Rahmer and Strickler back into contention.

Freddie Rahmer made his decisive move with three laps remaining, slipping past Strickler for second at the stripe and setting his sights on his brother. The brothers raced through the final circuits with Brandon hugging the bottom groove and Freddie searching for speed around the top.

Despite the late challenge, Brandon Rahmer remained composed and crossed the finish line just 0.166 seconds ahead of Freddie Rahmer to score the victory. Matt Campbell completed the podium after charging through the field. Jordan Strickler and Jude Siegel rounded out the top five.

Reutimann Scores Impressive First Lincoln Speedway Victory

PJ Reutimann made the most of just his third career appearance at Lincoln Speedway, driving to an impressive victory in Saturday night's feature after fending off multiple late-race challenges in traffic.

Reutimann and Andy Best raced side-by-side at the drop of the green flag, with Reutimann edging ahead to take command on lap two. Best remained glued to the leader's rear bumper, while Justin Foster settled into third, followed by Nick Yinger and Brock Hammaker.

Behind the leaders, Jayden Wolf was on the move. Running sixth in the early laps, Wolf pressured Hammaker before continuing his charge through the field. Hammaker also made progress, using the outside groove to move past Yinger for fourth.

As Reutimann approached heavy lapped traffic, Best began closing the gap, setting up an intense battle for the lead. With slower cars racing side-by-side in front of the leaders, Best looked for every opportunity to make a move while Reutimann expertly navigated through traffic.

Meanwhile, Wolf continued his march forward, passing Foster to take over third and quickly joining the fight at the front. The closing laps featured a thrilling three-car battle between Reutimann, Best and Wolf, with a lapped car in the mix at times and adding another layer of drama to the finish.Hammaker climbed back to fourth as Foster slipped to fifth, while Wolf made one final charge, taking second on the final lap. It wasn't enough to deny Reutimann victory, as the Florida driver held his line over the closing circuit to secure an impressive Lincoln Speedway win.

The win marked Reutimann's first at the Abbottstown oval and came in only his third career start at the historic speedway, an impressive accomplishment against a strong field of competitors. Wolf finished second after his late-race charge, followed by Best, Foster and Hammaker to complete the top five.

Lincoln Speedway is back in action on Wednesday, July 22 with the Bob Leiby Memorial featuring the 410 Sprints and 358 Sprints. Racing is scheduled for 7PM with pit gates opening at 4:30PM and grandstand gates opening at 5PM.
