Ryan Newton Claims Win at Selinsgrove in Posseland

Ryan Newton and Austin Bishop brought the field to green at Selinsgrove for Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday. Bishop would take the early lead. After 2 laps completed Kody Hartlaub would flip in turns 1 & 2 and Jake Waters would also come to a stop to avoid the crash. This would end Hartlaub's evening.

We returned to green with Bishop firmly in the lead. Chase Dietz and Justin Whittall battled behind him and closed the distance.

Coming off of 2 with 9 laps completed Bishop would get crossed up with a lap car, unfortunitly Dietz had no where to go and sent his car for a wild ride. Whittall would also get involved in the red flag. This ended Dietz's night, Whittall would rejoin the field and drive back up to 7th.

On the lap 9 restart, Newton would inherit the lead with Dietrich, Walter, Ross and Buckwalter in tow.

Dietrich would make a bid for the lead in 1 & 2 on the restart but was unable to complete the pass. A good battle would continue between Newton a Dietrich for the first few laps after the restart.

On lap 14 Jayden Wolf would slow on the front stretch and come to a stop, bringing out the yellow. Newton still on the point with Dietrich in tow.

On the next restart Dietrich would once again dive deep into turn 1 to take a bid for the lead, but Newton with a strong run off the top would hold the position.

Newton would go the distance and claim the checkered flag with Dietrich keeping him honest.
